More than once, I've been told that I tend to humanise animals when I paint them. I'd never really thought about it, as it's not something I do deliberately. What I do know for certain is that the animal world fascinates me: it brings me a sense of calm, makes me feel at home, and at the same time, wild creatures awaken in me a deep admiration and an endless curiosity.
